The Barre Winter Farmer’s Market is bringing community, local food, and handmade goods downtown during the quieter winter months. Held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from January through April, the market takes place 3:30–6:30 PM at the Barre Social Club, 105 North Main Street. The indoor market features a variety of local farmers, bakers, artisans, and specialty vendors, offering everything from fresh foods and baked goods to handcrafted items and unique gifts.

Barre is always a city of merriment and joy, but the official Merry Barre Holiday season kicks off on Saturday, November 29, 2025, with the welcoming of the Merry Barre Holidays Craft Fair for its two day “best in Vermont” display of over 100 crafters and vendors from all over our little state.  As always, you can expect all the comforts and joy that a weekend of supporting local artisans could bring, like free parking and free admission.  The fair will also be fully handicap

Downtown was packed with creativity as families, friends, and plenty of costumed characters joined us for Barre’s Annual Halloween Costume Parade. We saw everything from witches and superheroes to axolotls and a full “Nightmare Before Christmas” crew, all adding so much color and excitement to the day.
