Last week, members of The Barre Partnership had the opportunity to visit the Vermont State House for a meaningful and humbling occasion. Our Executive Director, Tracie Lewis, was recognized by Governor Phil Scott and the Vermont Legislature as a recipient of the

2025 Spirit of ADA Award.

This award highlights individuals and organizations across Vermont who are working to create more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive communities. All 2025 recipients were presented with an official Resolution from the Legislature, acknowledging these efforts and the collective progress being made throughout the state.

We are grateful for this recognition and proud to be part of a broader community committed to accessibility and inclusion. This work is ongoing, and we are thankful to learn alongside so many dedicated partners doing meaningful work across Vermont.

We would also like to thank HireAbility Vermont for introducing us to the Spirit of ADA Award program and for their continued guidance and support.
