As the holiday season approaches, there is no better time to support the Barre businesses that make our community such a special place to live, work, and gather. Shopping local is about more than crossing items off a gift list. It is about investing in neighbors, supporting local families, and strengthening the heart of our downtown.

Barre is home to an incredible variety of locally owned shops, restaurants, and service
providers. From unique gifts you cannot find anywhere else, to cozy spots for a warm meal or
coffee with friends, our downtown offers something for everyone. When you choose to shop and dine locally, your dollars stay in the community, helping businesses grow, create jobs, and continue contributing to the vibrant character of Barre.

The holiday season also brings opportunities to slow down, connect, and enjoy the simple
traditions that make this time of year so meaningful. Each Saturday during the Merry Barre
Holiday Season, horse-drawn carriage rides will depart from Depot Square and travel along
Main Street, offering a festive way to experience downtown. Before or after your ride, be sure to stop by The Barre Partnership’s Hot Cocoa Hut located in front of the Depot Square Station. Local non-profit organizations will be serving warm treats such as cocoa, cider, cookies, or pie, with all donations going directly to support their important work in our community.

We are incredibly fortunate to live and work in the amazing community of Barre. The support
shown by residents, visitors, and local businesses continues to make our downtown a
welcoming and thriving place, especially during the holiday season.

To stay up to date on events, promotions, and all things Barre, follow The Barre Partnership on Facebook and Instagram. To learn more about what is happening downtown or to volunteer at our events, please email director@thebarrepartnership.com.
This holiday season, we invite you to shop local, dine local, and celebrate all that makes Barre such a special place.
