About us
The Barre Partnership is Barre's Designated Downtown organization that follows the Main Street Four Point Approach to community revitalization. We are comprised of a board of directors, one staff member and a bunch of dedicated community members who volunteer to work at our events and help further our mission which is:

To stimulate and sustain economic development in Barre's historic downtown, ensuring a vibrant community that is the social, cultural and economic hub of the greater Barre area.

Because of the Partnership's designated status, property owners within the designated downtown have accessed almost $1 million in tax credits from the State of Vermont which in turn has leveraged over $7 million in economic development activity in the downtown. The Partnership produces several events throughout the year including the Barre Heritage Festival, Summer Concert Series at Currier Park, Granite City 5K Run/Walk for Veterans, Barre Home Brew Festival & Competition and Barre Farmers Market. In addition, its Director provides technical assistance to business owners looking to open or expand in the downtown. The Partnership is a membership based organization with over 70 businesses as members.
