Currier Park Concert Series Kicks Off!

The 2018 Summer Concert Series in Currier Park kicks off May 30th! This year's Title Sponsors are Heney Realtors and 802Cars.com

The Spaulding High School Jazz Band had to cancel their series opening performance as so many musicians may not be able to make the performance, but we have another group who will be performing. Glorybound, a gospel duo will take the stage for the first time.

The Barre Partnership announced the Summer Concert Series at Currier Park for the 2018 season. The concert series showcases 11 performances in Currier Park every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8pm beginning May 30th and ending August 15th. The popular series brings a well balanced mix of music from multiple genres. Free to the public. Come to the Barre Farmers Market at Currier Park from 4pm to 7pm before the concert begins.

The Barre Partnership was one of several downtown organizations to receive funding from the National Life Group Foundation's Main Street Grant Program in collaboration with the Vermont Community Foundation. Seven Designated Downtown Organizations were awarded funding for projects including wayfinding signage, accessibility improvements, park enhancements and beautification projects. Downtown Day at the Statehouse

Under the Golden Dome on Tuesday, Vermont's Designated Downtown Programs held their annual Downtown Day. The Agency of Commerce and Community Development's Downtown Program staff and directors and board members of downtown organizations throughout Vermont spoke with policy makers of the importance of downtowns in Vermont. The Barre Partnership's director, Joshua Jerome, was there to support policies like the Downtown & Village Center Tax Credit and new legislation like H.766 - Homeowner Rehabilitation Tax Credit
